Weave and then sew

Weave colorful yardages in a variety of beautiful structures & yarns. Looms are set up and ready to go, what a treat! Each student will have the opportunity to weave on 8 different looms throughout the week.

Monday morning begins with weaving a small bit at every loom to play with colors and treadlings. The result of this exercise will result in 64 color and texture samples that we will analyze and share. Mounting and labeling these samples on notebook pages will be an invaluable resource to take home, as well as a reference guide for the rest of the week.

Are you afraid of cutting your handwoven fabric? Lisa's sewing presentations will open the door to simple and basic sewing skills for your handwoven fabric, introducing aprons and bags and making them tangible and fun.
