Come and hone your beaming skills with us during this one-day offering. Several long warps will be ready to beam in preparation for our festive Vävstuga Days. The day will begin with a demonstration of how we wind our long warps on the big warping mill. Participants will see the technique of winding a warp twice the length and half the width, including the special method of chaining this kind of warp off of the mill. Instruction will be given for pre-sleying at the loom, followed by plenty of hands-on practice. Other steps necessary to beam the warp with perfect tension will be covered as we complete the process. Anybody who is eager to try out a warping trapeze for beaming will have ample opportunity.
